100% View of the birches in this Picture of mine Well... when you hit the download button, that is ;)

:iconircss: asked me, how I did the leaves. Well, cant recall the exact way... only that there were aproximatly 3 Layers for the leaves.

First I created a custom brush out of birch-tree-stock (But you can use the standard photoshop leaf brush, too) Spacing were set to something between 50 % and 70%.

Dynamics were:
- Brushsize to pen pressure. No minimum size
- angel jitter: 25 - 50 %, control set to direction
- roundness jitter: 100 % no controls
- scattering on both axes
- opacity jitter 25 % maybe...
- low brigthness jitter

Then I painted in 3 layers of color - dark green/blue, middle green and light green/yellow

The layermodes I cant recall. But light were proberly set to multiply ore linear light (I like those settings^^)

To get the leafy feeling I used the "unsharpen mask" filter.

Thats it. More ore less. realy hope I can do these trees again.

Thanks  I was surprised by the fact that you paint while scattering the brush in both axis since it becomes hard to control the direction of the strokes, but you got the result. thank you again

I dont overuse the scattering. But as I tend to get lost in details I more and more try to play with randomness in my landscapes. And then try to work with thre results ;) Looks far less "designed" this way.
